AdikGenius ("we", "us") provides a learning platform for children ages 7–12. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We designed AdikGenius to collect as little personal information as possible.

Who accounts belong to

Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. Children do not create their own accounts and cannot sign up on their own. A parent sets up one account and may add a learning profile for each child.

What we collect

• Parent account: email address and a password (stored securely, hashed by our authentication provider).
• Child profile: a display name (or nickname) and birth year only — used to choose age-appropriate content. We do not ask for a child's full date of birth, address, photo, or contact details.
• Learning progress: EXP, tokens, rank and lesson activity for each profile, so progress is saved across devices.

What we do NOT do

• We do not show third-party advertisements.
• We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking pixels on children's pages.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not provide chat, comments, or any social contact between users.

How we use information

We use the information above only to operate the service: to sign a parent in, to show each child the right lessons, to save progress, and to let a parent manage profiles and rewards. Token rewards can only be spent using the parent's account password.

Service providers

We use Supabase to store account and progress data, and Cloudflare to host the website. For "Ask Kiko" and KikoPod's voice replies, open-ended questions may be processed by Anthropic or Groq (AI response generation) and, for voice input, your browser's built-in speech recognition service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms.

Data retention & deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated child profiles and progress at any time by emailing [email protected].

Ask Kiko & voice features

"Ask Kiko" lets a child type — or, in KikoPod, speak — a question and get a reply. Simple questions (like "how many coins do I have?") are answered instantly using the app's own logic, with no data sent anywhere. Open-ended questions are sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic or Groq) to generate a reply; we send only the question text and enough lesson context to answer it (e.g. the current question on screen), never the parent account email or password.

KikoPod's microphone button additionally lets a child ask by speaking instead of typing. The microphone is only active while it is actively listening for that one question — never always-on. When used:

• Speech-to-text: we use the web browser's own built-in speech recognition to turn spoken words into text (on Chrome-based browsers, this is provided by Google). That audio is processed by the browser/device to produce text; we do not receive, store, or replay the raw audio ourselves.
• The question, now as text, is handled exactly as typed chat is above.
• Text-to-speech: Kiko's spoken replies use the browser's built-in voice, or a translation-service voice endpoint for lesson pronunciation audio elsewhere in the app — no account or personal data is attached to these requests.

A parent can avoid voice features entirely by not using the microphone button; typed chat and all lessons work the same either way.

Children's privacy & consent

Because AdikGenius is intended for children, a parent or guardian is responsible for creating the account and providing consent for their child's use. We are actively working toward formal COPPA (US) and PDPA (Malaysia) compliance, including verified parental consent, ahead of a wider launch. If you believe a child has provided us information without a parent's involvement, contact us and we will remove it.
